1. What information do we gather?
At Personal PAC, we may use cookies to enhance your online experience. The cookie does not gather any information from your computer or profile your system. If cookies are not turned on in your browser, you will still be able to browse our site without any problem.
There are entry forms on our website where we do collect your personal information. These forms are accessible from the navigational menu and the ‘Contact’ page for contributions, comments, and our mailing list. You may be required to submit a maximum of your name, company, email address, telephone number, mailing address, employer, occupation, and payment information.
2. What organization is collecting the information?
Personal PAC collects and stores information in our confidential database on a secure (SSL) server.
3. How do we use your information?
We have three main uses for your personal information: Providing a quality online experience at the Personal PAC web site, responding to your comments or acknowledging your contribution, and being able to contact you: a) at your request, b) to send a receipt for a contribution, or c) for informational news dispatches.
Your credit card information is requested for each contribution and is used to process one transaction only; the encrypted data is then deleted. Your name, address, telephone, email, employer and occupation all remain in our database. As required by state and county law, donations over a specified amount must be publicly disclosed; the minimum amount of personal information will be submitted to State Board of Elections and is available to the public upon request.
E-mail addresses supplied for Personal PAC's Legislative Alert System are also private and used only for the organization's distribution list. If you wish to change your personal information and/or mailing preferences, please request to update our database information in a comment on the ‘Contact Us’ page.
4. With whom will your information be shared?
We do not share nor sell your personal information, including your email address, to other organizations or companies for any reason, except as required by law.
5. What choices are available to you regarding collection, use, and distribution of the information?
In order for us to receive any contribution, it is necessary for you to enter a minimum amount of information. You always have the option of entering your credit card information on our site or calling our office to provide it over the phone.
6. SSL Technology
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology is presently the safest way to send personal information over the Internet. Information is first encrypted on your computer, then decrypted on our side, preventing anyone from accessing any information in between. To ensure your security, we recommend the use of SSL-capable browsers, like Netscape 3.0 or Internet Explorer 3.0 or higher.
