For 30 years, we’ve been fighting for women in Illinois.
With your help, we’ll never stop.
Personal PAC is focused on one thing: making sure that Illinois always remains a state where abortion is safe, legal, and accessible to every woman. We fight to remind elected officials that the health and well-being of women is their job. We fight to defeat politicians who take those rights away.
Keeping Illinois Elected Officials Committed to Choice
Since 1989, we’ve been fierce advocates for elected officials dedicated to protecting women’s health and reproductive rights, and through electoral politics, we hold politicians accountable. We’re the only statewide political action committee dedicated solely to protecting freedom of choice. We endorse pro-choice candidates and support them with all the necessary tools needed to win on election day. To keep them accountable, we have a list of ways to connect with your state representatives or senators to make sure our voices are heard and that they continue to protect women’s reproductive health. We’ll never stop fighting to protect a woman’s right to choose.

Protecting the Right to Choose Since 1989
For decades, Illinois’ abortion laws contained some of the most anti-women and outright cruel abortion restrictions. In 1989, Personal PAC was founded to reverse that tide. With the help of citizens across the state, we’ve been incredibly successful in protecting reproductive health care rights. But the fight never ends. The enemies of choice never stop, and neither will we.
Isn’t Illinois Pro-Choice? Why Keep Fighting?
Every year, every day, anti-choice politicians and activists work to take your choice away.
It’s true that Illinois imposes fewer barriers to women’s reproductive health care than many other states, but reproductive rights and abortion care should never be restricted. And right-wing extremists will never stop trying to erode and erase those rights.
We fight against them, but we need elected officials and activists to help us. We need you to get involved.
Illinois: The Pro-Choice Safeguard of the Midwest
In 2017, more than 5,500 women came from neighboring states to seek a safe, legal abortion in Illinois. House Bill 40 became law, expanding access to abortion care by removing restrictions on Medicaid coverage. HB 40 also removed the “trigger” provision in Illinois abortion law, ensuring that abortion will remain legal in Illinois regardless of what happens to Roe v. Wade. We’ll fight to make sure Illinois stays a haven of choice no matter how radicalized our neighbors become.
